A finely hand-crafted sipping spirit, infused with 100% Colombian soul.

We developed a distinct brand identity and unique packaging for Cumbé, a premium Aguardiente hand-crafted in Colombia. 
Our goals: to bring Guaro culture to the United States, and elevate what has been perceived as bottom shelf liquor. We worked closely with their Colombian teams (owners, distillers, and printers) to embody the coastal spirit of Colombia in the language and visual identity of the brand. The result is integrity and quality from product to design, establishing Cumbé as a shelf-dazzling contender in the premium class of finely made spirits. Recently featured in Vogue.

While working at Superbig Creative I was tasked with creating seasonal packaging for Jones Sodas Halloween cans. The concept was simple, dress up the six ounce cans as some of the season’s most prolific characters. These cans were featured in Print Magazine’s 2009 regional design annual. Working along side my wife Ashlie we designed the Dru Bru brand from top to bottom. Our scope of work covered everything from the interior design, branding, packaging, signage, coasters, menus all the way down to the tap handles. Often referred to as the “road bike frame” the Cardinal Ambassador is the only BMX bike to have vertical dropouts, a feature often found on road bikes. Rather than trying to shy away from the nickname I decided to embrace it fully and create graphics that are inspired from artwork that is typical of vintage road bikes. In addition to the bike graphics I also created an accompanying line of 4 tees.

Hello, I am applying for the Senior Designer/Art Director position. Below is a collection of images that I thought might be relevant to this role as well as a short bio about myself. I have been working in streetwear and sport for the last 19 years and have had the pleasure to work with brands such as Obey, The Hundreds, FUCT, Salomon and S&M Bikes to name a few. I am currently on an assignment with Dick's Sporting Goods creating product lines for their in-house Golf brand Maxfli, DSG soccer and DSG baseball. 

I live art and design. At any given time I am working on multiple art & design projects. On the weekends you can find me painting in the studio or sketching out my latest idea for a custom one of a kind varsity jacket. I love sourcing products and learning how things get made. Saturday mornings you can catch me at the skatepark taking laps and bullshitting with friends. With all of my work I try to incorporate play and storytelling. My client work ranges in scale from targeted specialty projects with apparel brands to larger assignments designing product lines for major retailers. I enjoy working on projects at all stages of the design process and love to be involved from the inception of an idea through the final execution. I live for all of the little details along the way from the design conversations, mentoring, stylizing & directing photography shoots to the deployment of the work.
